Letters For The Reckless

The only way to find your true self is by recklessness and freedom… But remember always that the true self is not a fixed thing… the true self is always in motion like music, a river of life, changing, moving, failing, suffering, learning, shining.

That is why you must freely and recklessly make new mistakes—in writing or in life—and not fret about them… And do not try to be consistent, for what is true to you today may not be true at all tomorrow, because you see a better truth.

~ from If You Want To Write: A Book About Art, Independence and Spirit by Brenda Ueland

The Letters are about the recklessness of delving within, again and again, to uncover and acknowledge what is in our heart; the recklessness of turning away from the false safety of easy answers and other people’s rules, and turning into our own fear and humanness; and the recklessness of choosing, in every respect, how we will thrive our business:life.

This is vulnerable territory, which is why I have chosen to publish the Letters to a more intimate group of fellow explorers (via email).

I hope it will be cosy space to talk about the messy truths of exploring and experimenting. Reckless readers will also be the first to hear about emerging ideas, and new offerings.
